Profecies Mesmer
Ok here it is, i only own Game of the Year Profecies. i generally Play WoW but i enjoy getting on GW here and there. im wanting to build a Solid PvE Mesmer focusing on damage. i seen there are some good Conditional Damage builds wih Domination and Inspiration s primary with Fast Cast as a secondary. but a couple skills that other Versions have... what would be a good PvE build without Elites but with interest in getting them.

Mesmers aren't actually focused on doing lots of damage. You might be better off as an Elementalist.

You will need other campaigns and EoTN expansion to make a versatile damage Mesmer that can mtach other chars in all battle enviroments. The damage Mesmer works well in HM (others can do too) in combination with some PvE only skills.
Unfortunately you will start out weak (unless you manage to get the Signet of Illusions (SoI) elite skill early using an elite tome in Night Fall campaign) and gradually becoming stronger (a very very slow process as you need to max out some PvE titles unless you have SOI). Once you have good experoience you can then ditch SOI for a more suitable elite to do the required job.
I enjoy playing my Mesmer.

When I only had prophecies, I stuck to domination for damage, with inspiration for energy management and a bit of fast casting for a boost.
[empathy] for melee enemies
[backfire] for casters
[wastrel's worry] useful, especially against bosses
[shatter hex]
[leech signet] interrupt + energy return
[energy tap] more energy management
[energy surge] elite aoe damage
[phantom pain] degen, and deep wound (don't underestimate this)
basically play around a bit... you can have great utility to your team. And while you'll never do as much direct damage as some other classes, you can still do decent amounts of armor ignoring damage
and on a separate note, [illusionary weaponry] can be a ton of fun if done right

For some damage and AoE disruption consider Cry of Frustration.
Powerspike does fair damage but depends on spells cast.
Empathy/Backfire are good as long as your target doesn't die too fast (better cast those off-target while the rest of the team attacks another foe).
E-surge is a decent damage elite.
Deep Wound from Phantom Pain is also good, consider using with Shatter Hex (as mentioned above).

Although most say you are very limited since you are missing PVE skills and missing other campaigns skills you still can have a great time and an effective one.
Damage is one thing but stopping the foe is better especially in the latter areas. (hydras have some nasty skills the need stopping )
Ok Domination inspiration Fast Casting is a good way to go ( your ability to change targets constantly toggling from shut down to hex will help your team immensely )
Suggest the following (pre elite) and after you get an elite go ahead and replace one
[empathy]
[Wastrel's Worry] (one of the best boss killers on this campaign IMO)
[backfire] (good on the boss healers)
[cry of frustration]
[power drain]
[drain enchantment]
[Ether feast]
[leech signet] or [Resurrection signet] depends on your comfort with hench or human team
Good luck to you
